Vina Pizza
BEST VALUE – Great food!
Vina Pizza; our family’s favorite by far. Salads are as fresh as they come, pizza and lasagna are excellent. This is a basic family run restaurant that serves quality food at great prices. You can have a meal for about $10 /per. Walking distance or delivery; Say hello to Elizabeth for us or we may just see you there!

The Keg
ALBERTA BEEF
Alberta beef that is a little more casual, yet one of the best steaks around, we recommend The Keg.

Earl’s
VARIETY & “I DUNNO, WHAT DO YOU WANT”
If one of you is very hungry and the other is not; a good choice is Earl’s. They have great nibblers and a good variety of entrees.

River Cafe
FINE DINING with CANADIANA FLIAR
Calgary’s restaurant scene has changed immensely in the past few years and there are dozens of great fine dining restaurants, many of which we have not yet experienced. With it’s incredible location and local grown offerings, few can match River Café on Prince’s Island Park however, so it gets our top recommendation. Let me help you get a reservation.
Prince’s Island Park SW corner—you walk onto the island.

Globefish – susi and izakaya
SEAFOOD**
SuShi
If it is Sushi that you are looking for, then only the line ups are what we base this recommendation on. Globefish took over the location of our favorite Chinese food restaurant but we will forgive them and recommend them anyways and they are walking distance. (closed Mondays) Let us know if you disagree with these choices.
Globefish 332 – 14 Street NW
Big Fish
SEAFOOD
Okay, let’s get something straight on this one – we are not big seafood eaters! But Big Fish is a good local place that we have been told is excellent. Let us know if you disagree with this choice.

Local Coffee Houses
The Kensington area has a dozen of them; everything from the big world wide chains to local hole in the walls. The Roasterie and Higher Ground are local places that put their own touch on the old favorites.
Ooling Tea House
TEA HOUSE
The Kensington area has several; everything from the big world wide chains to local hole in the walls. Oolong Tea House (Kathryn’s favorite!) is quite and relaxed. All in Kensington.
Panorama Dining Room
VIEW**
It doesn’t get any better than at the Panorama Dining Room atop the Calgary Tower. Every table is a
spectacular window seat and the revolving restaurant makes one complete rotation each hour. The menu has a good variety –a little pricey but a great experience.
